Frequently Asked Questions

Less than you think. I've trained people in their lounge rooms, car spaces, parking garages and even a bedroom. It was tight, but we made it work, and sometimes with babies napping in the next room, so we kept it quiet. If you can lay out a yoga mat or two, you're good. I'll check the space with you before our first session.

Not much. All you need is a sweat towel and a water bottle. If you have a yoga mat, that's great. If not, that's okay, I can bring one. I also bring kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, ropes and more, but we don't have to use any equipment at all if it doesn't suit your training or space. Bodyweight training is amazing.

Because I like to know how you move first. Once I've seen your movement patterns in person, I can coach you through a screen with confidence, spot what's going on and adjust things on the spot. It's also where I'm most comfortable, and that means better coaching for you. Your free chat can still be online or in person.

Perfect. Everyone starts somewhere, and we start where you are. It's a safe space with no judgement, and we build from there at a pace that suits you.
-
Yes, and it's one of my favourite things to do. I'm certified in pre and postnatal training and I'm used to working around injuries, so we'll tailor everything to you. If you've just had a baby, we'll wait until your doctor gives you the all clear. If you're recovering from an injury, we'll work out together what's safe, and I may ask you to check in with your doctor or physio first.

Expect a warm welcome and a proper warm-up, with some dynamic stretching and a little heart rate raiser to get you moving. Once you're fully warmed up, we head into the main session. That might be strength, cardio or a combination of both, but it's always full body and built around where you're at that day, not a one-size-fits-all program. If there's time left, I love to pop in a little core at the end, then we wind down with static stretching, like downward dogs and my fave, child's pose. Most of all, I want you to leave feeling stronger and looking forward to the next one.

Absolutely. Most of the men I've trained found me through their partner or a friend of their partner, so word of mouth has been kind to me. Same approach, same safe space, no judgement.
