Pre-exercise Screening and Health Forms
Before we train together, I'll ask you to complete the Adult Pre-Exercise Screening System. It's the standard screening tool used by fitness professionals in Australia, and it helps me plan sessions that are safe and right for your body. You'll also sign a health waiver. We'll talk it through in your free consult, and go over the forms. The forms need to be completed before our first session. If anything comes up that suggests it's worth checking in first, I may ask for clearance from your doctor before we start.
-
Changes To Your Health
Please tell me before a session if anything has changed, like an injury, illness, pregnancy, or a new medication. It doesn't mean we can't train. It just means I can adjust the session to suit you. If I think it's safer to change or postpone a session, I'll talk it through with you first, and I may ask for a doctor's clearance.
-
Payment
Session packs and single sessions are paid in full at checkout. Payments are made securely online. If a payment doesn't go through, your booking isn't confirmed until it does. Small group sessions are paid per person at checkout.
-
Training At Your Home
All I need is enough space for two mats, and I bring the equipment. Kids and babies at home are fine, and we'll work around them and make sure everyone is safe. If a space turns out not to be safe for training, we'll find a solution together, or I may need to reschedule the session.
-
Small Group Training
Small group sessions are for groups who have organised themselves, so please contact me before you pay. Each person completes their individual pre-exercise screening before training. If someone cancels with less than 24 hours notice, they're still charged for their place, and the session goes ahead for everyone else.
-
Online Training
Online training is for existing clients only. You'll need a stable internet connection and a safe, clear space to exercise. Sessions aren't recorded without your permission.
-
Cancellations and Rescheduling
I ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Life with kids, work and illness is unpredictable, so if something genuinely comes up, let me know as soon as you can and we'll sort it out. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, will be counted as used.
If I'm unwell, I'll let you know as early as I can and we'll reschedule. If I can't offer a new time that suits you, I'll refund the session.
-
Late Arrivals
If you're running late, let me know as soon as you can. I'll do my best to fit in the time we planned, but the session still finishes at the scheduled time so I can get to my next client.
-
Refunds
Once you've bought a session or session pack, I don't offer change of mind refunds. Sessions are valid from the date of purchase (single sessions: 4 weeks, intro offer and 3-session packs: 6 weeks, 6-session packs: 10 weeks). Life happens though, so if you need more time, get in touch before your sessions expire and we'll work out an extension. Extensions are case by case. Sessions and packs are non-transferable and must be used by the person who bought them. If I have to cancel a session, I'll reschedule it or refund it. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
-
Weather Policy
If we've planned an outdoor session and the weather isn't on our side, we'll work out a plan B. Usually that means moving inside, scaling down the equipment and space we need, and finding room for a mat or two. If it's really not workable, either of us can call the session off up to 30 minutes before the start time, and we'll reschedule. It won't count as a used session.
-
Taking Part Safely
Exercise carries some risk, and you take part at your own risk, within the limits of the law. Please stop and tell me straight away if something doesn't feel right. I'll always adjust a session if you need me to.
